Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born on March 4, 1954), is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. O'Hara has received a variety of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also received two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was appointed an Officer of Canada and in 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara made her debut as an actress in 1974 while she was a part of The Second City in Toronto. She was part of the main ensemble cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd started work in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara received critical acclaim for her comedic acting and writing skills and was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for the Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara was named to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert. Also included were Dwayne Colbert (Steve Carell), Tina Fey and Keegan Michael Key, and Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows.
